The Work

This is a collection of 30 sonatas and dance suites by Dietrich Becker for 3 to 5 instruments with basso continuo. This collection, Musicalische Frühlings-Früchte was printed in Hamburg in 1668. I don't know the exact origin of the source that I have used for this transcription, but the print is preserved in several places, for example Uppsala and Västerås in Sweden.

This Edition

I have always tried to be as close to the original as possible. Editorial changes have been put above the staffs, or within parenthesis. Slashed figures in the continuo have been replaced with their flat/natural or sharp equivalents. All accidentals and clefs have been converted to modern standard.
