1996

"Cavemens sunset"
[6.8]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: A Drum'n'bass-ish tune, but not quite.... kind of a ballad disguised in junglish drums...or something.
Comment: A cute melody with some interesting rythms...
Sadly not the whole tune, just 2 minutes of it...
Available formats: Internet Wave (2:00)
RealAudio (2:00)

"IC Circuit"
[7.0]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Some doinking Drum'n'Bass stuff
Comment: Well, it makes noise. What else do you want? :-)
Available formats: Internet Wave (4:00)
RealAudio (4:00)

"HOUSE of the Rising Sun"
[9.0!]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: Yes, THAT old tune, now in a HOUSE version!
Comment: One day my pal Mikael "Iron Mike" Sellberg dropped by. It was ten years ago last we met. But true to our spirit, we sat down and jaaammmed. Me on the synt gear, he on the guitar. After a while, this thing dropped out of the speakers! You have never heard House of the Rising Sun like this!
The 64kbit RA version is quite a bit cleaner in the treble...(but mono!)
Available formats: Internet Wave (3:07)
RealAudio (3:07)

"De-Orbit Burn"
[8.0]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: Zap jams with the spaceshuttle, live from space, via the Internet! If you like soft and laid-back Space-Trance...
Comment: I preprogrammed a small loop of drums, and a simple sequence sent to my Korg Mono/Poly. Then I connected to shuttle.nasa.gov when Atlantis was just about to do the "De-orbit burn" (i.e. break before exiting orbit to land).
From the NASA site I got live audio feed from space, across the Internet (using RealAudio), which I added into the mix. Then I just twiddled knobs on the Mono/Poly, and recorded the whole thing to tape!
The 64kbit RA version is quite a bit cleaner in the treble...(but mono!)
Available formats: Internet Wave (5:54)
RealAudio (5:54)

"The MAD Timpanist"
[7.5]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: The orchestra looked worridly at the Timpanist. Oh no, he had that Jack Nicholson face on again! It was gonna be one of those nights.... oh well, thought the orchestra, we'll just do our best and jam with it....
Comment: Classical music meets Techno and punding drums, and a totally frenetic guy beats his timpanies till his thumbs bleed! Defintely worth the download of the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: RealAudio (3:12)

"Dream State"
[8.3]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums and sound fx

Brief description: A beautiful piece of Trance music. I'm particularly fond of the break at 4:11
Comment: Lot of beautiful GOA-ish filtersweeps hovers thru this song, and you are brought along a psychedelic trance-inducing trip to nirvana land.... Well worth the download of the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: Internet Wave (5:55)
RealAudio (5:55)

"Broken Concentration"
[8.0]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: A heavy Breakbeat tune, a bit similar to "Chemical Brothers" stuff....
Comment: Kind of a Jungle-meets-Synthpop-meets-BreakBeat stuff.
Please note that the drumloop used is the Mother Of All Drumloops, which I stole from "Grandmaster Flash's" hip tune "Breakdance"!
Contains some movie samples too - which movie is it? Yeah, it's Pulp Fiction!
Well worth the download of the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: Internet Wave (3:28)
RealAudio (3:28)

"Serpent Percent"
[8.5]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: If you like 303's, you should probably listen to this one. It has a few 303'ish elements in it, although I use everything but a real 303...
Comment: Trance. Don't let the initial rumbling intro scare you off. Or the strange "random" sequence in the beginning (that skips speakers wildly in the stereo version). It gets really wild fairly soon. Dance on, friend! Well worth the download of the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: Internet Wave (5:44)
RealAudio (5:44)

"Chika Boom Boom Peff"
[8.0]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Really wild Drum'n'Bass. If you like Fat Boy Slim, you'll like this one.
Comment: Drum'N'Bass. I just love "Fat Boy Slim"'s album 'Better Living Through Chemistry', and it clearly shows in this tune. It's not a copy of their style, but it's clearly influenced by it.
This is also the first song in which I use my Syntecno TeeBee-303!
One cute thing in this song is the heavily processed sample of me saying, well, the song title! Sounds really nifty in the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: Internet Wave (5:00)
RealAudio (5:00)

"Ravin' Santa's"
[8.6]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Dance/Trance/Techno version of popular Xmas songs. Some localized to Sweden, other more international
Comment: Dance/Trance mix. This is something I do every year - crank out a modernized mix of old Xmas tunes. If you don't like that, then don't listen. But this will be a smash hit on any Xmas or New Years Rave!
Sounds really cool in the 128kbit Stereo version - good enough to play at Your Xmas Rave!
Available formats: RealAudio (6:40)

"Smooth Situation"
[?.?]

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Now What is this? I tell you what it is. It's Smooth Situation. Sort of a Zap Unplugged, although all the plugs are in....
Comment: I was getting tired of all this pounding-bass twiddle-the-knobs trance stuff. This is just something for fun, to break the monotony of the dancy trancy drummy bassy stuff that otherwise is here

Note that this is just for fun - the "lyrics" (yeah, I 'sing/talk' for the first time in years) is invented in "real time" as I record. (Thats why they have no rhyme or reason... or actually, more rhyme than reason).

This is, actually, more or less "live", i.e. I punch the tracks in/out as I 'sing/talk' the 'lyrics'. The whole thing is just a two bar loop (save the strings which is an eight bar loop, and the strange sound fx' which are full song length recorded....)

It scores fairly high on the wierd-O-meter! :-)

(Oh, and don't worry, more drum, bass, and trance will arrive later.... :-)

Available formats: RealAudio (5:20)

1997

"5-4-3-2-1" (acid experience)
[8.5]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: This is acieeeed trance, my TeeBee growls.
Comment: Acid Psy-Trance. I hope you enjoy the initial sample. Yeah, it's been used before, but it just screamed to be used in a good intro. Special thanks to Oid Records for the sample!
To get that real acid feeling, there is a part where I play (synthetic) Sitar... (giggle)
Well worth the download of the 128kbit Stereo version!
Available formats: RealAudio (5:53)

"Turn Me On" (One, two, three-o-three o' clock rock)
[10.0]

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: ACID ROCK'N'ROLL!
Comment: What can I say? If you don't dance to this one, you need leg surgery. What more can you want? Sampled girls, growling overdriven 303, and rock and roll!!!! The 128kbit Stereo version is simply smashing!! Download it NOW!!
Available formats: RealAudio (5:30)

"Photographic Memory"

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: Very minimalistic dance/trance stuff
Comment: You have to like minimalism and monotony to like this one. The whole song is exactly the same, except that knobs are twiddled througout the song. E.g. the filters live, but the melodies are the same. The odd rythm change is there too. Really Hypnotic.
Available formats: RealAudio (8:14)

"Mare Serenitatis"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Chill-out music, Fatboy Slim inspired.
Comment: This is music to sit down to, not dance to. Wierd rythms, strange sounds, and some cute melodies. I like it.... :-)
Available formats: RealAudio (6:17)

"Tell Ya This"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Chill-out music, with a groove.
Comment: Beats, Growls and grooves. You'll enjoy it!
Available formats: RealAudio (4:56)

"Call of the Wild"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Atmospheric music, somewhat similar to Bjorn Lynne stuff.
Comment: This one is very different from the normal technotrash. The idea came from my wife - she said I should make a song that was "like a soundtrack to a nature film". So I did.
Available formats: RealAudio (7:44)

"Humpty Dumpty sat on a Wall"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Wierd, laid back kind of soul-ish thing. Or somthing. Don't ask me what it is... :-)
Comment: Beware, I sing on this one. *grin*.
Available formats: RealAudio (4:44)

"Do the Twang-Twang"

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: The worst piece of garbage I ever did!
Comment: I tried to invent the style "Hardcore Goa" and failed miserably. I dunno why I even put it up here... but then again, I must show you that everything I do isn't perfect. I'm human too, you know :-)
Available formats: RealAudio (4:33)

"Nirvana"

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: Psychedelic trance kind of thing
Comment: This is kind of a "sequel of DreamState", so they bear intentional similarities....
Available formats: RealAudio (4:04)

"Heavier Shade of Brown"(aka "Hit Me")

Go to rating submit area

Uses STOMPER drums

Brief description: Recommended This is what you get when you combine Hard Rock and Acid with a James Brown sample....
Comment: None of the guitars are "real". The main loop is a sample of a guitar riff, and the "solo" is actually the wild distortion algorithm of my Ensoniq TS-12 having fun....
Available formats: RealAudio (4:15)

"Gyre and Gimble (in the wabe)"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Classical music meets Techno/Breakbeat
Comment: This is probably the first time you hear a cello, pizzicatto strings, solo violin, oboe and orchestral percussion (all done on my Ensoniq TS-12) in the same song as a growling acid 303, and heavy distorted beats...!
Available formats: RealAudio (4:36)

"Ravi'n Santa's 97"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: New Version!!
Comment: Basically an updated version of 'Ravi'n Santas' 96' - with better production. Also available as MP3 file!
Available formats: RealAudio (6:40)

1998

"Stimul8ing"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Synthpop-techno
Comment: The main voice sample is Kathrine Hepburn from "African Queen", after the whitewater rapids.... but if you want you can read your own meaning into that line...about what's so... "stimulating"....
Available formats: RealAudio (3:30)

"Freedom 4 All"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: South-African house
Comment: This is Master Zap featuring Nelson Mandela. This is a real club floorfiller track! Try it yerself...!
Available formats: RealAudio (5:50)

"Boogie-Beat"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Chemical Retro
Comment: Big Badass chemical beats merge with retro-80's synthpop melodies, in a complete groove. "Let's Daaaance"!!
Available formats: RealAudio (3:50)

"Mista' Engineer"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Drum'n'Bass/Rap
Comment: Trying to make hip-hop work with drum'n'bass.

This is what happens when the sound engineer pisses off the rapper with poor and crackling wiring.... :-)

Available formats: RealAudio (3:50)

"Bring It On"

Go to rating submit area

Brief description: Synthpop/Drum'n'Bass
Comment: The harmonic nature of synthpop merges with the beat structures of drum'n'bass in a highly harmonic, melodic, but still beat-phat number...
Available formats: RealAudio (3:50)
