"Omen" is one of the outcomes when rolling six-sided Dice in the game, and are represented by a squiggly symbol.
The Omen outcome doesn't do anything in itself, but various abilities can trigger because of it, or convert it to another outcome. When players roll Omen on an Attack die, one option is to spend a Fresh Order token of any type to convert one Omen outcome into one Damage outcome. Similarly, any Fresh Order token may be spent to convert oneOmen outcome on an Evasion die to an Evade outcome.
Dice
The Everrain uses four types of dice: five each of the six-sided Attack, Evasion and Enemy dice, and one ten-sided Fate Die.
Attack dice are used when players attack enemies, both when attacking enemy ships and when attacking enemies On Deck.
Evasion dice are used when players are being attacked by enemies.
Enemy dice are used when enemies are attacking players.
The Fate Die is used for Skill Tests and for making some other randomized choices as described on cards, events or action spaces. It is also used to assign damage to ships, and to randomly move any Storms that may be on the Game Board.
