Looting a Shipwreck

When a player's ship is in a hex with a not-yet-looted Shipwreck, the player can decide to loot the wreck. This doesn't cost any Order, and consists of rolling the Fate Die and consulting the Spoils Table to see what the result is. Then an Explored token (black token with a red X) is placed on the hex to show that the Shipwreck has already been looted.

Shipwreck hex:

Spoils

Spoils are the results of Looting a Shipwreck, and translate the result of a Fate Die roll to the actual effect. The game has a reference card for the Spoils, which says:

0. Gain 1 Clue.

1. Gain 2 Clues.

2-3. Gain a Commodity Treasure.

4. Gain a Trinket Treasure.

5. Gain a Relic Treasure.

6. Gain an Artillery Schematic. (Draw one random card.)

7. Gain an Improvement Schematic. (Draw one random card.)

8. Gain 5 coins.

9. Gain 10 coins.

Gaining the reward is optional, and if the player doesn't have room on their ship for more Treasure, they may discard some Treasure they already have if they still want to gain the new one.
