- Geography

I was born in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm in the year of 1973. when
I was 3 my parents desided to move to Västerås so I
followed them. My parents have a summer house in Lidköping (near
Vänern) where I used to spend my summer vacations. I go there a
few weeks a year nowadays. In 1992 I moved here, to Linköping to
study.
- Family and friends

My father, Åke, is from bollstabruk in ångermanland.
My mother, Marie, is from Lidköping which is in västergötland.
I have a little sister, AnnaKarin who is five years younger than me.
My best friend is Emanuel Johansson. He lives in
Västerås. I have some friends from Väterås who
have moved here to study too. See my friends

- Computing
- The first computer I ever saw was my fathers
Commodore KIM. A 6502-based micro. It had a graphics and sound
extension. When I was 11-12 I starded to program a little basic on a
ZX81 a few years later I got my c64. In the beginning there was games,
then came BASIC, COMAL, ASSEMBLER. I started to program demos using
the name Captain ZOOM. Later I changed it to BAN and joined a group
called TPF!. I call myself BAN because my friends called me Laban but
only three letters are allowed an a highscorelist so I had to shorten
it a bit. When I mastered the c64 I bought myself an Amiga 500 in
France. I thought is sucked and still do. My demoprogramming
froze. Later I learned Pascal. When I moved to Linköping I
discovered Lysator, the local comupter club. The result is lots of
knowledge in computers but it has a very bad influence on the studies.
I learned UNIX and C.
My current computerpark consists of:
aVAX 11/750, Amiga 500, a c64,c128, various PC-cards (3 8088
motherboards, 1 386SX20). The 386 is called
datan.rydnet.lysator.liu.se and is running ka9q OS. I have designed a
computer myself together with two friends, Ulrik Peterson and Henrik
Rindlöw. We built the whole thing CPU, Graphics unit with about
60 74XXX-capsels.
- School

I went to school for 12 years in Västerås
Year 1-3 at Hästhovsskolan.
Year 4-6 at Lillhagaskolan.
Year 7-9 at Emausskolan.
Year 10-12 at Wenströmska skolan. I studied the Technology program with Electrics.
In 1992 i begun here at Linkoping university. I try to study conmputer science and technology with varying results.
- Military service

I did my military service for 10 month at S1, Enköping as
telegraphist. It was really boring. As a result i "studied" to become
a radio amateur. my callsign is SM5VYR.
I also have some friends from my group on the net but I will not reveal their
identity in case the Russians are downloading this... :)
