The description is:
If this property is set with a value that is a valid damage type, a 
living will give hit messages according to that damage type instead of
default messages. Example: add_property("damage_type","slash") would make
a monster give slash messages, nice for monsters with claws and such. Note
that if a monster has a weapon wielded, the weapon hit messages take
precedence. To see what damage types are available, see /obj/daemon/messd.c.
