IBM 5081-019 FAQ or info

You use this information on your own. I take no responsability for it!

I no longer own nor use these beauties so any updates of these pages is depending on you.

The problem about this creature is the input. It has only input for RGB (red, green and blue, thats 3 BNC connectors) and most graphiccards for PC outputs the signal as RGB and separate sync. The 5081 needs the sync to be on green. Matrox Millennium and friends are supposed to handle this right out of the box. Another source of information is the repair faq.

Software integrators lists these data in their monitor database:

Horizontal Frequency: 64khz
Vertical Frequency: 60hz
Sync Type(s) Supported: Sync on Green
Maximum Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Connector Type: BNC
Size: 19
OEM: SONY
There is also the possibility to get a special graphics card as available from mirage, Software integrators and others.
