		    THE DRACULA MURDERS by Philip Daniels
		     Critic's Choice, 1986 (1983), $2.95.
		      A book review by Evelyn C. Leeper

     A vampire-style murder at a Halloween dress ball starts Superintendent
Vine on a quest for the killer.  But is the killer a man or something else?
The writing style is crisp, the characters well-drawn, but the novel lacks
any real tension or surprises.  I hate to say if this is the kind of book
you like, then you'll like this book, but that about sums it up.
