I've read three Michael Kurland books: "Perchance", a decent
cross-alternate-universes chase story, and the two 'Lord Darcy' books.
They really don't stack up to the original Randall Garrett material, but
they were OK.  I personally prefered the second one, because it took the
Randall Garrett characters and then placed them in a completely new
situation (which lessens the problem of comparisons).
