From archive (archive) Subject: Author Lists: Philip Jose Farmer From: JWenn.ESAE@XEROX.COM Date: 30 Jan 89 09:15:18 GMT I tend to like Farmer's single works over his series. The first Riverworld was intriguing, but it quickly started to drag. The Lovers is an groundbreaking treatment of sex in SF. (as is A Woman a Day, Image of the Beast and A Feast Unknown). And The Unreasoning Mask must be entered into the "my-alien-artifact-is-infinitely-more-complex-than-your-alien-artifact" contest. A favorite topic is telling the "true" story behind someone else's novel. (Oz, Tarzan, Verne, Doc Savage, Moby Dick, Kilgore Trout, and Sherlock Holmes). [C] == Short Story Collection.
