From archive (archive) Subject: Author Lists: J G Ballard From: JWenn.ESAE@XEROX.COM Date: 25 Jan 89 01:46:09 GMT J. G. Ballard is best known now for "Empire of the Sun", an autobiographical novel made into a movie by Steven Speilberg. But he was a major force in the SF "new-wave" of the 1960's. He was famous for his experimental prose style (writing a ccompressed novel in 10 pages). Not for everybody, but I can recommend The Crystal World and The Best Short Stories of J. G. Ballard.
