Karl Georg Starbäck

(född 1828, lektor, död 1885) odlade med framgång den historiska romanen efter Walter Scotts och Ingemanns mönster och behandlade härvid fängslande episoder ur Sveriges medeltidshistoria i Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson och Nils Bosson Sture; han har därjämte gjort sig känd som populär häfdatecknare i sina af P. O. Bäckström fortsatta Berättelser ur svenska historien.
