Now you're saying I'm supposed to post you chapter 1.1? Hey, make up your mind. And what about your lagging pace on KOR-trans? Are you sure you want to bring that up here? ^_^ Oops. > >Oh well. I guess parts 3 and 4 were either really really good > >translations (hah!) or they'll get around to it when they get around > >to it. > > You get thru four parts? I broke up the first chapter into four posted parts. Else I'd have been posting a 100K text file, and who can digest that in one sitting? Well, I could, but I'm certifiably insane. > Actually, i have not been able to tell where the > damn things are broken into chapters... can you?? Sure. There's filler art where some of the title pages used to go. [BTW, if you want to see the title pages that appeared in Ribbon, I think some or all of them are in the Style Book or the Art Book. I managed to page thru someone's Art Book once and noticed a few color pages that I remember from the few issues of Ribbon I've seen.] Plus, the ends of chapters have those "gasp" scenes that are supposed to leave you dangling until the next month's Ribbon shows up. To help you, there are 5 chapters per volume. [Volume 2 had 4 chapters plus a "From Wataru to You" 'chapter' at the end.] > or are they running them together without > convinient breaks on purpose? Oh yeah, and eat, sleep and go to work! ^_^ > > heh heh, i wouldn't know anything about that sort of thing... (3x3 Eyes > is pretty good, isn't it? Love that series...) Yeah. And "Shin 3x3 Eyes" is better! Yakumo kicks serious butt. [But only OAV 1 is out so far. OAV 2 is supposed to be released Nov 25 in Japan.] Additional short reviews: Dirty Pair Flash II (OAVs 1-3) is just as lightweight as the first DP Flash OAV series. But it was sorta entertaining. Partly because Yuri's voice actress is the same as Koishikawa Miki's. Imagine that. Miki-chan, a Dirty Pair! (Err, Lovely Angel!!) "Final Fantasy" OAVs 1-4 is also a bit lightweight. I mean, the plot is as simple as a video game! BTW, is Linari's voice actress the same as Inokuma Yawara's? She has that same delightfully cute voice. > You mean that you actually do eat and sleep and.... work?? Craig, i am > shocked.... ^_^ Gotta pay the anime/manga bill somehow! ^_^ > PS: still having fun with the Free Talk sections??? ^_^;; No prob! ^_^ Actually, except for the fact that I have to do a lot more kanji lookups for the "Free Talk" sections (no furigana!) and that it's *handwritten* kanji (grr!), I find those parts pretty amusing. Yoshizumi-sensei is a funny woman who isn't afraid to talk about her shortcomings. In Japanese, there's a difference between a libraray that's inside a building and is only one room (TOSHO SHITSU), and one that's actually a "library building" (TOSHOKAN). That's why Yuu asks "Wow? So there's a library (building) on campus?" "No wonder there wasn't a library (room) [in the main school building]." > 2 > [Miki glances at her wristwatch, and makes patting motions with the other > hand.] > Miki: > Say, aren't you going to nee o-HIRU TAbete-nai n desho? > eat lunch? say lunch not-eaten (poss-explan) > > If you don't hurry up, ISOganai to YOREI NAtchau... > first bell will ring... if-not-hurry first-bell ring-(finality) I'm not sure about how to read "YOREI". I thought it'd be "YOBIRIN", but that's slightly different, and with a slightly different kanji, I'm guessing. > --------------------------------------------------- > p 57 > > 1 > Miki: [off] > Wha-a-at?! Is it maybe "ni" instead of "wa", or "haitte" instead of "wa itte"? ---Yutaka From sleeper@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu Sat Oct 14 23:46:46 1995 Received: from goofy.cc.utexas.edu by soyokaze.biosci.ohio-state.edu (8.6.10/1.950110) id XAA09832; Sat, 14 Oct 1995 23:46:45 -0400 Received: (from sleeper@localhost) by goofy.cc.utexas.edu (8.6.11/8.6.11/cc-wf-sunos.mc-1.1) id WAA05434; Sat, 14 Oct 1995 22:44:09 -0500 Date: Sat, 14 Oct 1995 22:44:08 -0500 (CDT) From: Yutaka Sasagawa X-Sender: sleeper@goofy.cc.utexas.edu To: mboy-trans@soyokaze.biosci.ohio-state.edu Subject: Re: [MB-MANGA] 1.2 (3/4) In-Reply-To: <199510140939.JAA09144@soyokaze.biosci.ohio-state.edu> Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Craig wrote: > --------------------------------------------------- > p 62 > > 4 > [In her excitement, Miki throws her arms wide.] > Miki: > I saw, I saw it!
