The traditional recipe for pecan pie
Ingredients(makes 1 pie)
- 3 eggs,
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1 unbaked pastry shell
Preheat oven to
Blend eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla together.
for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to
and bake for another 45 minutes or so (until a knife
inserted halfway between the edge and the center comes out clean.
Remove and let cool.
If you use pecan halves it will look nicer than pecan pieces, but be more
difficult to cut.
10 minutes preparation, 1 hour cooking.
