GINGER COOKIES

Ginger cookies

These have a lot of zest.

Ingredients

• 175 g butter
• 200 g sugar
• 60 ml dark molasses
• 1 egg
• 200 g flour
• 10 ml baking soda
• 5 ml ginger
• 5 ml cinnamon
• 5 ml ground cloves

Procedure

1. Cream the butter and sugar togather.
2. Add the egg (beaten) and the molasses.
3. Sift the rest of the dry ingredients together and add to the mixture.
4. Form into 3-cm balls and roll in granulated sugar.
5. Place 6 cm apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 175C for 10 to 12 minutes.
