 Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter

Written 1986, 87 by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy.

Comments: As the Spacelab Arcada is boarded by the evil Sariens
        who steal the Star Generator to help them dominate the
        galaxy, Space Janitor Roger Wilco escapes to the planet
        Kerona, where he takes up the fight. After defeating the
        Sariens he is rewarded with the Golden Mop. The game is
        filled with a Spaceballs-like humour.
 
  
 Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter (enhanced version)

 Runs on:
 Notes: This is the same game as the above, but with improved
        graphics. The Amiga version of this takes up 6 disks instead
        of the original one. In this version Roger has blond hair
        instead of brown as in the original.
 
 
 Space Quest II: Vohaul's Revenge

Written 1987 by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy.

Comments: Roger is kidnapped and enslaved by the Sarien 'Sludge Vohaul'
        and must escape from the Orium mines to defeat Vohaul again.
        The humor in this game is somewhat more scarce than most of
        the series. The game is not a big improvement from the first.
 
  
 Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon

Written 1989 by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy.
 Runs on:
 Notes: SQ3 was the first SQgame to come in 320x200 resolution and
        to support music cards (Roland MT32 and Adlib). It was awarded
        'Best Adventure Game of the Year' and is generally recognized
        as the funniest SQ game. It is also available in Spanish.
Comments: Roger must flee from an android, hunting him for Mail Fraud
        in SQ2. Having escaped that, he must rescue 'the Two Guys from
        Andromeda' (creators of the SQseries) from the software
        ScumSoft (a pun on LucasArts game system!) and return them to
        earth.
 
  
 Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers

Written 1991 by Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy.
 Runs on:
 Notes: This was released both as a disk version and a CD version with
        speech. The CD version can either run under DOS or in a window.
        SQ4 came with 256 colors VGA handpainted graphics and video
        captured animation + digitized SoundBlaster effects.
Comments: Rogers old 'friend' Vohaul is back, and Roger goes on an
        odyssey through several Time eras - including Space Quest XII
        Space Quest X and a short visit back to Space Quest I (with
        authentic SQ1 graphics -- he actually gets in trouble in a bar
        because a couple of guys don't like his 256 color attitude).
        At the end, he beats Vohaul -- helped by his (yet unborn) son,
        Roger Jr., and returns to his own time and SQ4.
 
  
 Space Quest V: Roger Wilco in the Next Mutation

 Runs on:
 Notes: After the production of SQ4 the duo behind the series split
        up. Scott Murphy left Space Quest, and Mark Crowe moved to
        Sierras sister/daughter company Dynamix. SQ V was actually
        written by Mark Crowe and produced by Dynamix, though it was
        labelled Sierra.  Also available in Spanish.
Comments: Roger goes to the Academy and becomes captain on his own
        spacecraft -- a garbage ship, collecting trash in space. Soon
        he gets involved in a plot where evil mutants led by his own
        commanding officer, Captain Quirk, tries to take over StarCon.
        While defeating them, he also meets his love, Beatrice
        Wankmeister. SQ5 is stuffed with references to popular
        SF-movies.
 
  
 Space Quest VI: The Spinal Frontier

Written 1995 by Josh Mandel and Scott Murphy.
 Runs on:
 Notes: Space Quest VI comes on 1 CD, with a booklet, including some
        puzzles that serves as a sort of copy protection. The game has
        voice-over speech and can be installed under DOS or Windows.
        It was designed and mainly written by Josh Mandel, co-writer
        of earlier SQ-games, but due to some troubles with Sierra he
        left the company and Scott Murphy finished the game. This is
        probably why you find some inconsistencies and puzzles without
        hints here and there.
        According to Sierra, this will be the last game in the Space
        Quest series.
 Comments: Roger is demoted to second class janitor but gets kidnapped
        (again) and is saved by beautiful corpsman Stellar Santiago.
        She is later kidnapped to take part in a mind altering/body
        switch project, and a miniaturized Roger must travel inside
        her body to save her. Again full of reference to SF.

 Notes: Package contains an instruction booklet and a CD with Space

Written 1997 or 1998.
 Notes: Contains six games according to the cover, including SQ 6, so
        the others would be SQ 1-5, I suppose.
